Before the winter season started, my anime picks were Dance in the Vampire Bund and Seikon no Qwaser. Why the hell does this happen every season dammit!? That my picks before a season is those that are the worst of the season!? Let’s start with Fall 2008, my anime picks before the season were Hyakko, Toradora, and Kannagi. After watching those show, I found them to be very very bad (Okay, Toradora wasn’t that bad..). Then in winter 2008, I picked only Akikan!. But after watching the show, I dropped since it was SHIT. And this winter 2010, I watched the 2 shows that I picked.. except for Seikon no Qwaser. Didn’t watch that since I already know that it’s going to be shit. Dance in the Vampire Bund should have been good but I really got bored after episode 3 and it’s getting too SHAFT’d (like what I always say). Too bad, I thought that that show will be good since I liked episode 1. And don’t make me mention Ookamikakushi please.
After that I have no series to watch anymore so I searched for the most-talked anime which was Soranowoto and Durarara!. I promised myself that I wouldn’t watch those shit since Soranowoto is the second season of K-ON! and Durarara is yaoi.
No. I still didn’t watch Soranowoto. And I tried Durarara!! First episode was.. okay. It’s a bit boring. OP is very catchy though. ED is much better. Second episode, still boring. But I still tried to watch it til’ the end of the ep. Third episode was GOD TIER. I loved it and the show got much interesting. Episode 4 is much better! I hope this show gets better.
I also tried Baka to Test to Shokanju. It’s been a long time since I watched a show like this. And I liked it. I smile a little on some scenes (No. not laugh since there are no comedy anime that makes me laugh). OP and ED are good too. Very catchy.

More Cowbell! I’m still holding on Bund… hehe
To be fair, Bund’s 4th and 5th episodes are a little better than the first 3 (though just barely) and Kakushi started to finally get it’s act together in eps 4 and 5 (but again, it’s still ass).
BakaTest barely makes me crack a smile. I think people are just so desperate for anime comedy they’ll laugh at anything at this point. It’s got comedic timing, but almost nothing worthwhile to time. I enjoyed Azumanga a lot more than BakaTest, and I’m only watching it because a friend of mine bet me a work-lunch that I’d drop it before he did.
Sora no Woto might eventually become interesting, but I’m not holding my breath because it’s storytelling is hella shallow. Ditto Katanagatari. Even my wildcard, Hanamaru Kindergarten, became tiresome after just 4 eps.
Really the only new show worth a damn is Durarara, and if it wasn’t for Sunred, FMA and Bantorra I’d declare the season a complete dud. Railgun is managing to keep worse and worse, and have “grass is greener” arguments with my friends who chose to watch Letter Bee instead.
Even my shoujo-loving wife completely agrees with me about this season (rare!). She’s struggling with Nodame, and finally dropped the perpetual boredom machine, Kimi ni Todoke, for Kobato after hearing that it’s getting a bit better (which I appreciate.. now I get to watch a dumb girl get yelled at by a blue dog thing instead of yelling myself at the idiotically contrived lead of Todoke).
So Dance in the Vampire Bund gets better? Oh ho ho ho.
I didn’t like Azumanga Daioh. I’m sick of those highschool bullshit shows. Baka to Test is also one of those kind but it’s a bit different.
Hanamaru Kindergarten won’t be enjoyable if you are not a lolicon or shotacon.
I agree with Durarara being one of the show to be called ‘good’.

GOD TIER indeed.
I thought the first episode of DRRR was kinda boring but by at least the 3 episode I was hooked. Where it’s at now I really see the Baccano in it. Definitely one of the better new shows I’ve watched. As if I’ve watched many shows from the past 2 to 3 years.
You only have that much to say about Baka Test? Son, I am disappoint.
yea nice Work
They should follow one piece and only do a filler thats a few episode once after 3-4 long arcs
great?
