Adaywithoutme recently blogged about shows that needs sequels. No adaywithoutme, Jigoku Shoujo doesnt need a sequel. Ive had enough. These shows ARE the ones which needs a sequel:
Azumanga Daioh

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan

Who doesnt wants more of Dokuro-chan? All people loves her, right? If there would be a sequel, then it should have more of this, this, this and the good part, this one. And oh, please no more ‘pipirupipirupirupi’ scenes, okay? I hate those parts, cant they just let Dokuro beat that guy to near-death then any minute, he will be alive and be fine without the stupid magic gay thing, for fuck’s sake.
Chaos;Head

I think Im the only one who wants a C;H sequel.. No even likes this crap right? I beg to differ but I kinda like the story and actionof the anime and it definitely needs a sequel so it can have a good reputation on otakus. Just get a good animators for the sequels and add more blood and gore, then everything would be fine.
Gakuen Alice

I liked this shitty anime. Needs a sequel but a very different one. The characters should be grown up on the sequel, some ecchi and soft fanservice so that it would turn into a for-kid’s anime. Or in other words, cartoon. Like a Gakuen Alice version of Tayutama.
Lucky Star

I need my daily dose of Konata. Needs a sequel. More Miyuki moe and more parody but less Haruhi parody should be what a Lucky Star season 2 be like. Ya hear that KyoAni?
On some semi-related news: So many Shakugan no Shana posts which tells about a sequel of the anime? Wat? Shakugan no Shana III? No fucking way. Should I be excited? Well I think it doesnt need a sequel. I just sense that the 3rd sequel will be bad as fuck . I just hope its not true.

Lol I understand how you felt bout ShanaS3.. Lol.
I’m like, meh, just hope that S3 will be better >_>
I know. They better do make it better. I hope all the JC Staff tsunderes make a cameo appearance.
I’d rather not have any sequel to those.
Let’s see, Dokuro-chan getting another OVA down the line seems likely, but I’d rather Azumanga stay finished as it is. Its memory will continue to live on in shows like Lucky Star and K-ON! www
I knew someone would say that.
But I really do want more Lucky Star and Azumanga but I guess Im the only one. ;___;
Among the ones you’ve mentioned, I’m only familiar with 3. I would really want more Lucky Star. More Gakuen Alice would be nice. Can’t say about chaos head since I’m not yet done with it.
I haven’t finished shakugan no shana, but I don’t think I’ll be part of its group of addicted fans either. So I also don’t feel the hype of its upcoming season >_> there are gazillions of others who deserve another season. hehe
There ARE a lot of Shana fags out there so the creators of Shakugan no Shana totally want the Shana fags to be happy.. I guess.
Anyone who has stuck with Jigoku Shoujo through three seasons knows that there should be a fourth.
Lucky Star sequel? Can it get any better? 0_o
I think I’m one of the rare few who’s looking forward to Shana S3. >_<
It could get better, optic. Just add more moe characters and it will be fine.
Chaos; HEAD was a great show, you not alone in that I think a sequel would be great. Same goes for Azumanga Daioh and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, which is the funniest anime ever made ever.
I think everyone (including me) has been wanting a Lucky Star Sequel, and I’m not sure why they haven’t made one yet, as people would go ape-shit over it.
I love Shakugan no Shana. It doesn’t really NEED a sequel, but I really WANT a sequel, so I’m extremely happy that there’s going to be one, although I will say that it might be better if it’s a shorter series, like 12 episodes, because they obviously didn’t have enough information to make 26 episodes last season, considering all the bullshit that took over most of the first portion of the show.
I thought Chaos; HEAD was a pretty decent show, although isn’t everything pretty much wrapped up already so not sure how it’s going to have a sequel.
Chaos;head is a piece of shit anime.
If you havent watched it yet, then you should go watch it and just focus on the story not with the shitty animation. If you’ve watched it already, then you probably didnt understand the story.
meh. it’s pretty much shit.
Finally, someone who’s agreeing with me.
I just thought of an idea for S3 of Shakugan no Shana.. They should make it a 12-episode with none-sense story just like Churuya-san..
Oh wait, thats a bad idea..
It’d be hard for Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh to have sequels. They already got out of high school, so it’s off to college? Does that even count as school life anymore?!
They could do a non-school-genre. Just to be unique. I dont know if it’ll turn out good but its nice taking risks.
I guess they could always do more Lucky Star OVAs if they can’t fix up another “school-life” based situation. But I certainly wouldn’t want a sequel based around Yutaka’s lot and only occasionally Konata-crew drop ins.
Konata not as a main character automatically equates to epic fail.
D:
The reason why I want a sequel is because of Konata. So if she isnt a main character then it sure is gonna be a failure.
That’s it. An OVA is much better than a sequel.
oh no no no! Thou shall leave Azumanga ALONE! Granted, theres new Azumanga manga that they could use for a new season, but part of me just wants them to leave a good series alone
and honestly, the anime isn’t even that great, the mangas where its at yo!I wouldn’t mind some Yotsuba anime though =3
What about an Azumanga Daioh with Yotsuba in it?
*puts gun to ur head* Listen here punk! In this part of… OH?!? Yotsuba in it?!?! Hmmm, well, I sure do love gimmicks! Kai-Ish, you got da job!
btw, I noticed that you somewhat curse alot. Don’t you think you should bring that down abit since you have a lovely lady blogging with you? ^_~
We ALL love gimmicks. Well, if it didnt turn out good then no.
Meh. I think she doesnt care.
Shana 3 will probably suck, and be an original story as well since I don’t think there’s enough material to cover another season.
And most of the animes on the list ended definatively which makes sequels kinda hard.
Except Gakuen alice, which wasn’t that great anyway, and Dokoro-chan which already has a sequel. It just wasn’t subbed cos it was well… crap.
And I’m probably the only one who thinks that the TV broadcast with the censorship was funnier than the DVD version. There’s something about hearing all the sound effects but only seeing an apology and “buy the DVD” page which ellicits a smile.
And I’ll be very happy if I never see another lucky star anything again!!!
I know. Gakuen Alice wasnt that great for others. But I dont care. Dokuro-chan needs another sequel. I dont care if it already has a season 2. Its still possible to have Season 3. Take Shana for example.
I need more Dokuro-chan….like…..at least 300 more episodes. Jesus Christ that show is funny as hell.
You’re exaggerating a bit there glo. What will happen on that 300 eps huh? Maybe 13 episodes are enough for me.
I like to exaggerate. But anything more than a 4 episode OVA will satisfy me.
Lucky star definitely needs a sequel..
I think School Rumble MUST have a proper sequel instead of that thing they gave us…
On the other hand, Azumanga Daioh sequel should be awesome after all this years.
I bet if they make another School Rumble sequel it would be another failure.
WOW! I’m glad I found this blog, great entries and theres alot of content I need to catch up on. I am curently watching Bleach but would like to find some time to check out these other shows. I review anime movies on my blog but was thinking about getting into series as well. Swing by my blog if you ever get some free time and feel free to suggest some films I could review! AND if you like what you see maybe we can put each other on our blogrolls
Sure. I already added on my crappy blogroll.
Lucky Star may indeed have a continuation, but Chäos;Head already happy-ended, right? I don’t see a reason to ruin that.
Didn’t watch the other shows so not goin’ to comment on them.
What about a C;H spin-off or alternative setting? I really want more. ;__;
You forgot to mention Berserk. That is one series that REALLY NEEDS a sequel, as it doesn’t even have a proper ending.
I didnt watchj Berserk. And never will watch it. Old anime is old.
Making a Yotsuba anime>>>>>Season 2 Azumanga. And there should have been more seasons of Ouran, Fruits Basket and Claymore, but crappy anime-only endings killed that. I can never understand why anime studios don’t just wait for the series to be near its end or finished. There’s plenty of good completed manga series that get passed over and they’d rein in more money if they had more material.
Meh to most of em… Not a big fan of the random-4koma-based anime. There are exceptions, but it aint Azumanga or Lucky Star, and I’ve not seen much of Dokuro-chan, but I doubt its a series I’d want more of…
Gakuen Alice and Chaos:Head are the only ones I have no oppinion of, since I haven’t seen either.
