Nyoro~n Churuya-san and The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya are short anime in the web. Both are spin-off of the original anime called ‘The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya’. The characters are animated as chibis.
Nyoro~n Churuya-san
It goes like this, Churuya-san walks to any Haruhi Suzumiya characters or do something that may cause a mishap > Asks for something (e.g, smoked cheese) or fail at what she is doing > ??? > Nyoro~n
It’s cute in some way. And annoying at times. Some people may find it boring and none sense. But it IS boring and a nonesense anime in aw good way for me. You’ll get a hang of it and laugh at some episodes. Yes, the animation sucks. It’s like its made by using MS Paint and just uses some crappy animation software. But who cares.
I know its a repetitive shit. Every episode follows the same and boring plot. Its just 2 minutes so not a lot of time is wasted. A good anime to watch if you dont have anything to do, like me.
The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya
This is better than Nyoro~n Churuya-san. Its not repetitive, not annoying and has good animation quality. Voice actors are just the same as the original anime so its quite awesome.
This anime has a light story and plotline in it. So the show is not boring and is not repetitve and doesnt follow the same plotline again and again. And oh, there is no word that is repeated and said at the end of every episode. If you know what I mean..

The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya = The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya + Lucky Star.
Indeed.
Which in turn = Awesome.
Nyoro~n, Nyoro~n — ^^ haha
Both are good for some laughs. In Nyoro~n Churuya-san, Churaya sounds exactly like Osaka (Azumanga Daioh).
>> Churaya
Who?
Nyoro~n Churuya-san is more of dark comedy in the sense of “bad things happen to good people” sort of thing. I’m more of a fan of the gag-type humor that Haruhi-chan has, but I really like both shows.
Dark comedy? Yeah. Its pretty close to that one. But when you say ‘dark comedy’, some people will think of it as a violent or morbid anime which is not good.
Actually, I immediately thought of Dokuro-chan (though I guess that’s violent…!)
Dark comedy in Nyoro~n… that’s a really interesting concept that I’ve never thought about!
Dokuro-chan is waaaay better.
