Why do people keep calling it “Kurokami?” It’s official English title is “Black God.”

The same reason why you see “To Aru Majutsu No Index” or “Toradora” or “Kurogane No Linebarrel”. Because weeaboo weeaboos are weeaboo. Neither you nor I will be able to stop this sickness.

Weeaboos are smarter than non-weeaboos, as well as more obsessive-compulsive. It’s a fact.

The so-called “official titles” in English are often just there as sexy advertising for the Japanese, who love the exotic sound. They are sometimes — although not in this case — fairly ridiculous.

Japanese tend to transliterate the titles of foreign films, rather than translating them. But perhaps you think we aren’t smart enough, and should have English titles for our weak brains.

In any case, I can’t tell much from the preview, although the violence seemed well done. The character design in the manga is great, and I’m still not sure if they have homogenized it too much. Manga was done in Japanese by two Koreans.

^ In other words, Animes that are in English titles are just for some fans to be impressed. But I prefer Japanese titles.

The probability of us picking up animes with Japanese titles are high because it is their original name in Japan. We get caught of the news much earlier than to wait several decades before it gets the license and be turned into some crappy engrish title.
