I have been watching a lot of animes lately. I do watch anime with fansubs. Subs of fans. And what do you expect from fans? Well of course they is a big possibility that they would be sometimes wrong on their translations. We understand that. Actually, we should be thankful that there is someone who subs our favorite animes ^_^ But today, we celebrate 20 years of awkward translations of fansubbers.
Edit: I added new ones. Since this post never gets old. I guess.

Awesome. I laughed so much. Too much to even just right, “lol” on every page. Fansubbers abuse their power so much (and other times they’re just dumb).

I’ve seen some of these before, but it’s still hilarious to look at them. The CHERRY BLOSSOM one and the “Are you okay?” ones are the best ones.

oh my. Luckily I´m only using subs for references :p
But yeah, this takes the whole dorama for fansubbers back and slaps them silly. It´s free so we shouldn´t complain VS actually translating what is being said.
I´d go with the at least try to translate it correct option.

Thanks for posting it up, but…only dirty people would find some of them funny…
I like fan subs that take their time and do a good job at making them. People who do them overnight won’t exceed totally with the translation. But I’m aware that mistakes can be made and I usually pick up when their are and can correct them in my head.
@manga: Yes. We shouldnt complain since we are the one who watches their subs and its just free. Complain if it wasnt free.

Haha, pure genius! Of course some of these are actual parodies and such, but it is always funny to make fun of the truly poor translations. Fansubbers tend to be so far up their own that it’s good to knock them and their fans down a few notches now and again.
