I have read Impz post on how ‘not’ popular enough he is to be in Danny Choo’s workshop. Which is definitely not true. He is popular enough. 
And so I decided to do this blog entry on few helpful (I think) tips for your anime blog to be popularly popular. I am not popular enough so you dont need to rely on my tips. XD
1. Make your blog design fabulous
The first thing you see in an anime blog is what? Design. Yes design. A more catchy in the eyes design lures more people on to your blog. Make your blog design unique. So the visitors wouldnt say “Hey. This blog looks familiar”. Dont just rely on the free wordpress themes out there. Like me, Im too lazy to make a unique theme for my fukken blog. Do not overdo making your blog design. Make it simple and not to exaggerated. Also, dont forget to think about the viewers, do not sting their eyes with too colored texts. Since your blog is an anime blog, put stuffs into your blog design any otaku stuff related. Most preferrable is a popular anime character (e.g Taiga, Kagami, Nagi etc.) And if you want a blog that is very very simple, pick a plain color like black and in that way, you can save electricity.
2. Have enough knowledge on the otaku world
Well duuh. Anime blogging would be much easier if you have a lot of knowledge about the things you would be blogging. And if you have the ‘enough’ knowledge, reading and viewing other blogs will be much interesting. And another benefit of having the ‘knowledge’, your imagination will be widened and in that way, you could post many enthusiastic blog posts that you want to say to your viewers about any otaku stuff that they, otaku, will surely love your otaku-ish post too.You dont really need to study about otaku stuffs and blah blah, its easy, just explore other otaku blogs out there, read there posts. And if you dont want that, post on any Otaku-oriented forums.
3. Dont just blog on anime
Your blog is an anime blog right? It doesnt mean that when your blog is called an ‘Anime Blog’ that you should only focus on anime. It would be much interesting for readers to view your blog since you are updated anything and everything about on there needs. Otaku stuffs like anime figures, anime conventions, anime news and blah blah.
4. Have a fabulous blog post title
What is the second thing you notice on a blog? The post title. The post title is like the ‘theme’ of the whole certain post. So if the title is the theme of the post, then make sure it is relevant. Well duuh. Make it relevant, at the same time entertaining. And another way for readers to click the rest of your post, make the title of a certain blog post that will make them curious. Like a title that you are sure that the readers dont know and inside the post is the meaning of the i-dont-know title. So that will make them “Wow I didnt know that”. In that way, the readers will exit from your blog with a new knowledge that they learned from you.
5. Inform the readers
How to inform them? Proceed to no. 4, thats another way of informing them. But wait theres more, you could also inform them through anime news. And make sure that this anime news is interesting. Interesting that will surely lure readers to read the post. And if they find that anime news on your post that they think is interesting, they will start blogging it in their own blog, and the linking starts there. This person links this blog, then the reader read it then linked it on his/her blog and so on ishishish.
6. Have a fabulous introductory text in your post
The third thing that you will see on a blog is the introductory text in a post. To make it more interesting, dont just put text, put a picture too. And make sure that picture is interesting like shit. For example, this blog post’s introductory is a picture. To be particular, the picture is irrelevant to the post. Well see, I cant think of any picture to put that is relevant to this post. XD If you have a more relevant pic to put on to your blog, then put it. The picture should be interesting, funny, or whatsoever that will make the readers open your post.

And there you have your tips. Well that just I know. Cause Im just a beginner y’know. Going back to my tips, if you do and follow my tips, your blog will be surely popular like shit. If the readers know that you have a fabulous everything in your blog, then they will start spreading the word. I think.. Well I think they will comment like shit on your posts.
These tips are supposed to be a secret. If you share them, then everyone’s blog will be popular. NOT AS PLANNED.

Oh, I didn’t mean the CSS upgrade. I meant self hosting. CSS upgrade does not let you change much for your blog to stand out, but I guess that counts as well.

Lol, I only do Anime Reviews, Manga reviews, Magazine reviews, and Amazon Jp stuff. I’m also going on a exchange to Japan next year so my blog will probably take a bit of a turn around when I go. It will be more stuff in it =D. Anyways good tips.
